Experienced Tree Climber/Arborist

Job Overview  

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tree Climber/Arborist to lead a dedicated crew in performing a range of tree care operations, including high risk removals, precision pruning, and crane-assisted work. This leadership role is suited for someone who thrives in the field, brings a high level of professionalism, and has the experience to guide a team safely and efficiently.  

Duties  

• Perform technical tree removals, including high risk and complex jobs. 

• Operate as lead climber on site and be proficient in both climbing and aerial lift techniques. 

• Safely conduct crane-assisted removals and rigging. 

• Lead and manage a team of ground crew and junior climbers. 

• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards of quality. 

• Communicate clearly with clients, team members and upper management. 

• Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive, professional jobsite environment. 

• Conduct jobsite safety checks and enforce safety protocols 

• Train and mentor less experienced crew members 

Experience  

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in tree climbing and arborculture. 

• Proven experience with crane work and high risk tree removals. 

• Strong knowledge of proper pruning techniques and ANSI standards. 

• Demonstrated leadership and crew management abilities. 

• Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal communication skills 

• Ability to manage jobsite logistics, timelines and customer expectations 

• Valid Drivers License (CDL preferred, but not required)
