Your days will be spent meeting with homeowners, property managers, municipalities, and commercial clients to evaluate their tree care needs, provide expert recommendations, and develop solutions that prioritize safety, tree health, and customer satisfaction.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, solving problems, and helping clients make informed decisions about their trees and landscapes.You'llwork directly with homeowners, commercial property managers, municipalities, HOAs, and institutional clients to evaluate tree-related concerns, develop solutions, and turn opportunities into completed projects.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Growing and managing a portfolio of residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
- Conducting on-site consultations and property evaluations.
- Assessing tree health, risk factors, structural concerns, and clientobjectives.
- Developing pruning, preservation, removal, and plant health care recommendations.
- Preparingaccurateproposals and service agreements.
- Following up on open proposals and actively converting opportunities into scheduled work.
- Building lasting customer relationships that generate repeat business and referrals.
- Coordinating with operations staff to ensure clear communication and successful project execution.
- Assistingwith scheduling priorities and work order development.
- Participating in leadership meetings focused on company growth and strategic planning.
- Tracking sales performance metrics, proposal volume, close rates, and revenue goals.
- RepresentingOrleans Co Tree Service professionally throughout the community.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK
You'llconduct on-site consultations throughout the Greater Richmond region, including Chester, Petersburg, and surrounding communities. Projects will include residential properties, commercial and institutional campuses, municipalities, homeowners' associations, and complex tree care projects ranging from routine maintenance to large-scale removals and preservation work.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE
Required
- Proven ability to build trust with clients and close sales opportunities.
- Strong communicationand relationship-building skills.
- Ability to balance customer needs with companyobjectives.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and prioritizing opportunities.
- ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain certification within3months).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the tree care industry.
- Strong tree identification skills.
- Knowledge of pruning standards, tree biology, and tree risk assessment.
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- Strong workethic, integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Comfortable using computers, tablets, CRM software, and proposal systems.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior sales experience within the tree care industry.
- Experience with crane removals and large-scale tree operations.
- Knowledge of plant health care programs.
- Experience operating chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, or aerial lifts.
