Certified Arborist

Location: San Carlos, CA
Salary: 50,000 to 70,000 Depending on Experience

Mayne Tree Expert Company is seeking an energetic mid level certified arborist who enjoys working with people and outdoors, this position is ideal for a professional with an education background in forestry, arboriculture, environmental studies, or related disciplines and with experience in these fields and line of work.

Job Duties Include:

Educate residential customers on the needs of their trees

Provide customers with estimates based on their needs

Develop and update annual plant health care programs

Create and build relationship with new and existing clients

Able to create tree inventory/arborist reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s License

Must be 21 years of age or older

1-year related experience in the green industry or related field OR a 2 or 4-year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Biology, Environmental studies or related field

Regional plant and horticulture knowledge

Knowledge of tree species, diseases, and tree protection mitigation measures

Must be knowledgeable and experienced with tree care, hazard tree evaluation, integrated pest management and industry approved tree care practices

Ability to work outside, occasionally in adverse weather conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend for extended periods of time

Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, for typing reports

Good people skills, able to communicate clearly with clients

Ability to work independent without direct supervision
