All-level (Entry-Expert) Arboricultural positions available
Location: Medford, MA
Salary: 18.50/hr to start
Barrett Tree Service East, Inc. is a TCIA-accredited premiere tree care company out of Medford, MA providing safe and professional tree care services throughout Greater Boston. We’re an independently-owned and rapidly growing company. We work with residents, companies, and state/town parks, such as the Emerald Necklace, the Esplanade, and the Boston Public Gardens.
We seek reliable individuals with valid driver’s licenses and strong work ethics to join our Accredited company as full time groundspeople, climbers, crew leaders, etc. Applicants shall possess a genuine interest for our trade of arboriculture. We offer in-house training for all levels.
This is a full-time position (M-F 6:30AM – 5:30PM +/-) with unlimited opportunity for advancement/learning potential (Such as a ground person position will evolve to tree climber, crew leader, equipment operator, salesman, and or plant health care technician.) Some on-call Saturdays are required, but paid at a double rate.
Applicants must love working outdoors in all types of weather and have a passion for hard work, safety, attention to detail, and trees. Duties applicants will perform their first days will include, but are not limited to, repeating orders back to crew leader in their own words, wearing PPE for the duration of the workday, job site communication, buddy system, water, nutrition, feed brush into chipper, 3 step rule, windrow brush, rake the line, winch cable operation, driving chip truck, and fueling chainsaws. Physical fitness, pre-employment drug screen, and criminal background check is part of our interview process.
Base pay is $18.50 hour and increases with experience & licensure. Benefits include:
