There are currently two vacancies.
We will also be creating a pool of qualified candidates that we can draw from over the course of the next year (up to 12 months) as additional vacancies occur.
Basic Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Lead Tree Trimmer and the Superintendent of Vegetation Management works as a member of a crew to perform professional line clearance duties. Works with crew to remove tree branches and/or treetops that interfere with power lines including live and/or dead trees. Performs rightof-way clearing assignments such as ditching, placing culverts, road maintenance, gate installation or repair as required. Communicates with property owners regarding tree removal or tree trimming to assist in resolving issues and providing information.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
▪ High School Diploma or equivalent.
▪ Electric utility experience.
▪ Completion of Certified Apprentice Tree Trimmer program.
License, Certification and/or Testing:
▪ Journeyman Tree Trimmer card.
▪ Current Washington State Commercial Driver License (Class B) with a good driving record.
▪ The ability to obtain a valid Washington State Commercial Driver License (Class A) within six (6) months from job start date.
▪ Obtain a valid CPR certificate within three (3) months from job start date.
▪ Obtain a valid First Aid certificate within three (3) months from job start date.
▪ Successful completion of the District’s Journeyman Tree Trimmer testing process
