Tree Climber & Team Lead

Responsibilities

Tree Climbing & Care
-
Perform professional tree climbing and care tasks using ANSI Z133 Safety Standards including pruning, trimming, removal, and support
-
Identify tree species, evaluate tree health & workplace safety conditions, and
-
Care and inventory management for all climbing, rigging, and cutting, and care equipment throughout its lifecycle

Team Leadership
-
Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with Team members & Management to achieve daily goals, ensure efficient workflow, and uphold our uncompromising safety standards

Communicate effectively with Team members, Management, and Clients to ensure clarity and satisfaction
-
Be the most senior person on a job site who will handle all emergencies, contingencies, and situations that may arise with decisiveness and care for safety and the company

Relevant Experience & Skills
-
Tree climbing and care within the Tree Care Industry
-
Familiarity with ANSI Z133 industry standards for climber safety and pruning
-
Cooperation and collaboration with a diverse, high-functioning team
-
Mechanical care for vehicles and heavy equipment
-
Proficiency with technology including mobile apps and email
-
Ability and confidence lifting at least 50 lbs. and working through a full range of motion
-
Relevant Certifications (or willingness to earn these)
-
A degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, or a related discipline
-
ISA Certified Arborist and/or TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional Certification
-
Valid VA Driver’s License with a clean driving record (CDL Class B preferred)
-
First-Aid/CPR and Aerial Rescue certifications
-

Ability to work additional hours during peak seasons or weather-related situations.
