Overview

Southern Botanical is seeking a full-time Business Developer for our growing Tree Care team. The successful candidate will be familiar with all aspects of the Tree Care industry including sales, production, safety, exceptional client service and estimating.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue and results through prospecting, prescribing treatment, and managing production for client satisfaction. (Ideally $1M+ annual revenue)
  • Manage all initial interaction with assigned tree care clients
  • Present proposal documents, close sale and responsible for client experience and satisfaction
  • Pursue blend of follow through on SoBo issued leads and prospect for new leads and business
  • Ensure a smooth transition of new accounts to the respective manager to service clients' needs
  • Network through professional associations by attending events and conferences
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and production goals
  • Ensure sold work exceeds minimum acceptable gross margins

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture preferred or equivalent work experience required
  • ISA Certified Arborist credentials
  • Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience in arboricultural service
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite; Aspire experience preferred

 

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs, move about the work site, turn on and operate a computer in the applicable environment, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork. Exposed to dust, pollen, chemicals, cold and heat in an external environment. Requires extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 20% of a workday. Travel to the field required more than 50% of time.

Working Conditions

Standard indoor office environment with some exposure to external environment Include external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes work boots, hard hats, gloves, earplugs, safety vest and glasses.
