Crew Lead

Location: Longmont, Colorado
Salary:

St Vrain Arbor Care is currently hiring for a Crew Lead  / Tree Climber with professional industry experience. We are looking for someone to start right away. 
Must have crew management, professional tree climbing and tree trimming experience!

Qualifications: Applicants must have 2 years minimum experience in a crew lead role or management position in the industry. 2 years minimum experience in professional tree climbing and tree trimming experience. Valid driver's license, clean MVR, and ability to be insured. Applicants must be motivated to continue their education (i.e. earn ISA certifications.) Excellent organization, prioritization, and communication skills to crew and upper management are a must.

 

Preferred qualifications warranting higher starting wage ($28/$30hr +): ISA Certified Arborist, ISA Certified Tree Climber Specialist, TRAQ, TCIA, CTSP, CDL Class B, Proficiency in technical rigging and crane work. Has own ANSI approved climbing gear, but if not, will be provided. 
 

Crew Lead / Tree Climber responsibilities include: Efficiently leading a crew of 3-4 people with set jobs scheduled for that day. Routing/scheduling the crew’s jobs for the week, scheduling truck/equipment maintenance. Ability to communicate professionally with customers, crew members and upper management. Must be able to multi-task and teach on the job techniques/skills to other crew members. 
 

Daily job duties will also include: Pruning and removing trees, rigging, ground clean up, raking, chipping, proper maintenance and operation of tools/equipment including chainsaws, chippers, bucket truck and more. St Vrain Arbor Care will provide all job-specific equipment and PPE. We also offer paid time off, holiday pay, weekends off, and continuing education training.
