Zoning/Landscape Field Representative I

Location: West Palm Beach, Florida

Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday

Other: Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

Performs entry-level specialized technical work reviewing various types of development plans and permit applications to ensure compliance with the Unified Land Development Code (ULDC) and the Zoning Technical Manual. Work is performed with basic comprehension on technical matters within the scope of landscaping material, and installation methods and procedures to determine their compliance with stated code requirements and County regulations, policies, and guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Landscape Contractor, Nursery Manager, Forester, Arborist, or in landscape design/installation. Equivalencies: Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban/Regional Planning, Urban Design, Geography or closely related field; unrelated Bachelor's Degree/related Associate's Degree and one (1) year of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR: International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist Certification (copy of certification must be uploaded to online application within three (3) business days of application submittal).
