Chief of Forestry

Location: Baltimore, MD
Salary: $76,160 - $126,544

Chief of Forestry – Baltimore City

The successful candidate will be responsible for all street and parkland trees within the city, including maintenance and planting, and for the care of the city’s two thousand-plus acres of forested natural areas. Expertise in addition to arboriculture is desirable – such as leading stewardship programs, monitoring construction activities, and providing guidance for the city’s TreeBaltimore Program to increase tree canopy. A bachelor’s degree in forestry, horticulture or related plant sciences – or in environmental science or natural resource management – is needed. ISA Arborist Certification is a must. Salary range is $76,160 - $126,544, plus health and retirement benefits.
