Consider joining the City of San Bernardino's Public Works Department as an Arborist. The City of San Bernardino is seeking a skilled Arborist responsible for performing a variety of tree maintenance and related landscaping duties including pruning, shaping, planting and transplanting City-owned trees. The ideal candidate will have three (3) years of experience in the pruning, trimming, planting, preservation, and the caring for trees as well as a valid California Class "B" driver's license, and a valid International Society of Aboriculture (ISA) certification. An Associates Degree or higher in urban forestry, horticulture, landscape management, parks recreation, is highly desired. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, Training and Experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent; and three (3) years of experience in the pruning, trimming, planting, preservation, and caring for trees; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
