Safety Supervisor

Wright Tree Service is currently seeking a Safety Supervisor to join our team! The ideal candidate needs to be willing to travel throughout the State of Michigan.  

Job Responsibilities

• Travel around throughout Division 65 (the state of Michigan) and implement all company and division safety programs
• Take a management role in operations communication regarding claims and necessary training relating to claims history
• Communicate and comply with all written Wright Tree Service Safety manuals and materials, included but not limited to the Foreman’s Manual and Employee Handbook
• Engage with workforce by making regular crew visits usually with Safety Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years’ safety management experience, specific to vegetation management
• Bachelor Degree in Safety Management, Environmental, Risk Management and or Health & Safety or related field preferred but not required
• TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional (CTSP)
• Knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations – OSHA, DOT, ANSI
• Knowledge of Federal and State regulations relating to Utility Vegetation Management (UVM)
• Knowledge of Herbicides and their application as it related to UVM
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and observation abilities
• Able and willing to travel
• Participation in industry organizations and governing bodies relating to UVM
