Arborist/ Landscape Specialist (Exempt)
Location: Maitland, FL
Salary: GRADE 114 - $45,771.00 or D.O.Q.
DEPARTMENT: PUBLIC WORKS
POSITION TITLE: Arborist/ Landscape Specialist (Exempt)
PAY GRADE/STARTING SALARY: GRADE 114 - $45,771.00 or D.O.Q.
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or equivalent in disciplines related to horticulture, arboriculture, or grounds maintenance and a minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience. Three or more years of experience in forestry, tree trimming, ornamental pest control, or any equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.
Certification by the International Society of Arboriculture, or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment, or within six (6) months if an internal employee is selected.
Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
Must also possess the National Incident Management System (NIMS) IS-700 within 30 days of employment and the ICS-100 within 90 days of employment. There may be additional NIMS required, which will be scheduled by your Supervisor.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possess a restricted use pesticide application license or obtain a restricted use pesticide application license within six (6) months of employment, or within six (6) months if an internal employee is selected.
