Forest Management Staff

This funding is an opportunity to restore more forests; grow and plant more native trees, shrubs, and groundcover; involve more citizens in caring for forests; formalize more trails; and monitor our progress.  Our plan for implementation includes a huge effort to hire seasonal staff to perform management and conservation work in many natural area forests across the five boroughs. The team includes a combination of staff focused on field work, stewardship and outreach, plant production, assessment and monitoring, GIS and analytics, and trail building. There are positions at entry and supervisory levels, including promotional opportunities for existing staff in the form of seasonal step-ups. We are also hiring a program manager to work closely with senior staff to oversee the entire operation.
