Climber, Groundsman

Location: Durango, CO
Salary: Compensation DOE

Job Description:

• Perform various arbor related activities on commercial and residential properties
• Tasks such as tree climbing, ground work, pruning, removal and stump grinding
• To operate and perform maintenance on specialized equipment including brush chipper, stump grinder, and chainsaws in a safe and efficient manner
• Heavy lifting required
• Must be able to work in an alpine or desert environment for up to 10 hours

Assets/Skills/Education Required:

• A certified arborist is a plus
• One (1) year climbing experience or experience with an arborculture company.
• Competent in all tree climbing skills, including assessing safety hazards, tying in, rigging limbs down safely
• Responsible with strong work ethics
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and safe work
• CPR/First Aid a plus
• Transportation to yard required
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle record a plus
• Valid Med Card or ability to attain a card
