Job Detail

Climbing Arborist

Location: South Seattle, WA
Salary: TBD

Do you love climbing trees as a profession? Are you wanting to improve or expand your skills as an Arborist with a company that thoughtfully cares for trees?

Our crew is looking to add an experienced tree climber with strong pruning skills to join our crew 4 days a week in South Seattle.

We are a small tree care company that provides tree pruning and removal services to a diverse residential clientele where expectations of excellence influence every aspect of our work. This position is for someone who enjoys climbing and pruning mature specimen trees with the occasional tree removal.

Our philosophy is that we all work to make chips in the truck at the end of the day. This means that all team members work together and share duties including climbing, pruning, running saws, dragging brush, chipping, and general equipment maintenance.

The person we hope to fill this position with will require most if not all of the following skills and attributes:

- At least 1 year climbing and pruning professionally.

-Familiar with SRT, Spurs and other climbing and rigging techniques.

-Experience with cabling. (dynamic and static systems)

-Valid WA. drivers license and ability to drive stick shift dump trucks with tow behind chipper.

-ISA Certified Arborist, or willing to work towards this credential.

-A strong work ethic and self drive.

-Ability to show up 4 days a week on time and able to work an 8hr day.

-Good physical shape, agility, and stamina to make it through cold wet days of winter and increasingly hot summers.

-Clear communication skills with both client and crew to maintain a cohesive working environment on and off the jobsite.

-A thoughtful eye for detail with respect to pruning, clean up, and generally limiting any impact to our client and neighboring properties.

-Knowledge of common Tree ID and structural habits.

-Up to date covid vaccination would be preferred.

Reliable work 4 days a week year round.

Pay to be discussed and dependent on experience.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, please reply to this ad and we'd be happy to discuss this unique opportunity to increase your skill set and progress in the field of Arboriculture.

We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully working with you soon.
