Municipal Arborist/Urban Forester

Location: Wyomissing, PA

The Borough of Wyomissing, in Berks County, PA is seeking a self-motivated, high energy individual to join our Tree Department. The Department maintains over 7,500 Borough-owned street trees. Activities include pruning, planting, removal, and pest and disease diagnosis and treatment. Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years experience in the tree care profession or related education, and be familiar with the operation of brush chippers, chain saws, bucket truck and stump grinders, and possess some knowledge in hazardous tree identification, pest and disease diagnosis and general tree identification and biology. Basic computer proficiency and good public relations and communication skills are also important.

Applicants must be willing to obtain a class A commercial drivers license within six months of employment.
