Arborist

Location: Longmont, CO
Salary: $22 to $35 per hour DOE

Definition & Principal Duties:
The major emphasis of this position will be on trimming and removal of trees. The ideal candidate will be a good problem solver and show initiative during the performance of work operations. Will be required to perform rope and saddle climbing as well as aerial lift operations and crane removals of various sizes and species of trees (depending on experience level). While this position focuses heavily on trimming/removals you will be expected to assist the Field Workers (grounds men) when necessary, as well as perform other tasks related to the arboricultural operation and business. You will be working as a team member in a crew varying in size from 2 to 7 people. This position also receives production bonuses, 5 days of paid leave after 1 year of employment, and much more.

Qualifications: Possession of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
•Minimum of 2 years of experience performing arboricultural trimming and removal operations.
•Knowledge of advanced arboricultural techniques such as: rope and saddle tree climbing, rigging, trimming, removal, aerial lift operation, and crane assisted removals.
•Knowledge of and ability to follow ANSI Z133 & A300 safety requirements and practice standards.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:
•Colorado Commercial Driver’s License Class “B” or above with air brake endorsement (and ability to maintain said license by passing CDOT random drug testing).
•International Society of Arboriculture certified arborists.
•CPR and First Aid certificate holders.
