Tree Crew Equipment Operator

Location: Durham, NC
Salary: 43,302 to 50,643 plus benefits

Position (City of Durham Job Title "Maintainance Specialist") works for the City of Durham's General Services Urban Forestry team in the planting, pruning and removing of trees in public areas. Essentially a "Gounds-Person" job. Duties include managing traffic flow in an active roadside work environment, operating heavy equipment in the loading, hauling and disposing of debris, grinding stumps, chipping brush and providing labor and professional inputs on other tree-related sassignments. Position is required to participate in after-hour and weekend standby and recall duty for tree emergencies. Position is considered “essential” and must report for duty during inclement weather. Requires a Class-A Commercial Drivers License and experience working on and around tree care operations.
