Salary:

$1000 sign on bonus after 90 days for climbers.  Immediate job opening for a climbing tree worker. 

We are a team-oriented company out of Astoria, Oregon.  Near the ocean and surrounded by beautiful outdoor recreation and urban amenities.  Day trips are easy to Portland or Seattle and housing costs are reasonable. 

 

Qualities of a good candidate are:

-Certified arborist (preferred but not required). 

-2 years of industry experience (required or its equivalent)

-High school graduate or GED.

-Driver’s license with good record (CDL preferred but not required).

-Dependable transportation

-Good communication skills

-Pesticide license (preferred but not required)

 

Skills needed:

-Tree climb with and without gaffs adhering to ANSI standards for safety.

-Prune large and small trees to a high-quality following ISA standards.

-Accomplish removals in restricted locations with rigging.

-Operate or capable of learning to operate various machines such as: spider lift, tracked walk behind loader, grapple log trailer, hydraulic winch and skid steer.

-Perform ground operations when it is logistically needed.

-Safely run a chainsaw and chipper.
