Tree Trimming Crew Leader

Location: Paragould, AR
Salary: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour

Summary:

This position supervises tree trimming crew that will consist of 2 or more employees. Ensures that trees and brush are cleared from electric lines, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Ensures that trees and brush are cleared from electric lines.

Follows the National Electric Safety Code.

Trims trees surrounding power lines and where necessary.

Supervises tree trimming crew.

Performs brush removal and chipping duties.

Performs routine maintenance on tree trimming and chipper equipment.

Loads, stocks, and cleans truck.

Assists other crews when needed.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position must be able to climb poles and it is required to be on-call as necessary. A Commercial Driver's License is required.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 25 pounds (chainsaw and pole saw) from an overhead position. The employee must be able to manipulate this weight from a variety of positions and postures and in confined spaces. The employee must also frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock.
