City Forester

Location: Cumberland, MD
Salary:

Under minimal supervision, performs duties related to the management of the Evitts’ Creek Watershed acreage and the management of Cumberland’s urban forestry programs including supervising activities for forested road construction and improvement projects, timber harvesting projects and land and tree maintenance, removal and improvement projects. Collect, record, analyze and manage data related to timber stand health and growth, stream and lake samples, urban forestry inventory and tree related complaints. Provide training for and oversee tree maintenance projects. Prepare and oversee contracts; develop and track budgets for projects; ordering materials and supplies attend meetings and conferences. Shall report to the Director of Engineering on all tasks or duties assigned.
