Updated 18 July 2022

What if I am due to renew my ISA certification on 30 June 2022 and cannot attain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) due to event cancellations?

All credential holders receive a standard 60-day period to meet applicable continuing education requirements and pay recertification fees. An automatic extension has been applied to these credential holders’ accounts and will allow them to complete the recertification process by 29 August 2022. An additional 60-day extension can be purchased by calling our customer service team before the 29 August 2022 deadline.

(paper-based examination). Please review the pertinent information below:

  • Computer-based / Pearson-Vue Owned Test Centers: Please review the latest information available at https://home.pearsonvue.com/coronavirus-update#government-guidance

Is ISA still reviewing and approving certification applications during this time?

Yes, there is no disruption in this service. ISA staff continues to review and approve certification applications. We always recommend submitting an application as soon as a candidate decides ISA certification is a desirable pathway as exam enrollment is contingent on an approved application. There are no fees associated with submitting an application, so if you have been thinking about applying click here to learn more.

Will I be notified in case of an exam cancellation? How do I know if my exam has been cancelled?

Yes, if ISA or one of our examination providers decides to cancel an examination event, all candidates enrolled will be contacted via email. If you are currently scheduled for an exam, please check your email periodically for notices.

At your earliest convenience, please log in to make sure ISA has the appropriate contact information for you, especially your email. If you are unable to log into your account, you may use the “RECOVER PASSWORD” button available or call us at +1.678.367.0981 to verify the information in your account.

Can I still enroll to take an ISA exam through a computer-based testing center?

Yes, you can still enroll. Please note though that, some testing centers are still closed or as they have resumed operations, there is less scheduling availability due to the demand and social distancing requirements and you may not be able to schedule an exam in the next 30 days at a convenient location.

When you enroll for an ISA computer-based exam, you have a testing-authorization period of 90 days from the date of enrollment. In the extenuating circumstances associated with COVID-19, we can extend this 90-day period upon request.
