Fleet Mechanic for Tree & Landscape Equipment

Birchcrest Tree and Landscape, Inc. is looking for year-round Landscape Mechanic with a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in the Landscape mechanic industry.

Duties may include:

• Mechanical diagnostic/troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs for fleet of bucket trucks land landscape trucks (diesel and gas), chippers, bobcat machines, stump grinders, and other related tree and landscape equipment
• Operating landscape equipment
• Solid knowledge and experience with heavy equipment such as skid steers, mini excavator, prentice loader
• Knowledge of both diesel and gas engines, and hydraulic repairs
• Small engine/equipment knowledge, welding, fabrication, and body work are a plus

Requirements include:

• Self-motivated individual able to work with seasonal pressure
• Excellent work habits and organizational skills
• Team player and works well with others
• CDL highly desirable but not required

Minimum Requirements

• Must be able to wear necessary PPE
• Must be able to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing work assignments
• Must be able to operate and service all required tools and equipment
• Clean driver's license
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
• Must be able to pass criminal background check
• **Given the dangerous nature of the work required, employees must be able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time**

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, move and maneuver heavy weights of 10 pounds frequently, and weights of up to 50 pounds
• Gripping
• Climbing
• Balancing
• Pulling and pushing
