QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and bucket operation experience in the tree care industry
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round performing manual labor in all weather conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct individual training or prior crew leader experience 
  • Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Learn, understand, and adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies
  • Valid driver's license and clean MVR (Class B CDL preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in:

  • Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
  • Supervising and managing tree care crews while performing all aspects of tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
  • Reviewing the scope of work and safety issues with the Arborist Representative before beginning each work assignment
  • Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
  • Safely performing all aspects of arboriculture, including:
    • Tree identification
    • Tree risk assessments
    • Pruning
    • Removals
    • Cabling and bracing
    • Root collar excavations
    • Properly maintaining and operating tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
  • Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
  • Clearly and efficiently communicating with clients
