TREE SERVICE TECHNICIAN II

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Salary: $16.27 - $24.00 Hourly

Brief Description of the Job
Assists in performing tree services operations such as stump removal, tree removal, tree pruning and trimming.  Assists with removal of trees on City property and the disposal of all debris.  Responsible for the installation of the City’s holiday light displays. Installs and removes City street pole banners.  Cleans up tree debris and removes trees that have fallen on roads and/or private property.  Supports special events and other specialized activities.  On call for tree emergencies and weather related events.

Job Requirements
Formal Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.
 
Experience:  Over two years of experience in operating heavy equipment, tree care operations, or horticulture.
 
Driver’s License Required:  Must have or obtain a valid South Carolina Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) within 3 weeks of hire. Must have or obtain a valid Class B South Carolina Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake provisions within 3 months of hire.
