Consulting Arborist

Capital Tree Service (CTS) has been providing high quality arboricultural services to residents and businesses throughout Southern Vancouver Island since 2004. As we continue to expand into new markets and increase the variety of services we provide, we need to recruit and retain motivated and qualified professionals.

In addition to production arboriculture we specialize in preparing Arborist Reports, Tree Protection Plans, Risk Assessments, Forest Inventory, and many other related services.

We are currently recruiting for a position in our consulting division. This position will involve conducting Tree Risk Assessments, Forest Inventory, Preparing Arborist Reports and Tree Protection Plans and other related services. This is a full-time year-round position. CTS offers excellent wages, benefits, training, and room for advancement.

The ideal candidate will:

-have a passion for trees

-have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

-have experience in Plant Health Care

-be physically fit (we work in all weather, difficult terrain and often in remote locations)

-have experience in tree and shrub pruning

-be experienced with Office 365 (Word and Excel)

-be an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist or having the pre-requisites to attain this qualification

-hold ISA Tree Risk Assessor Qualification (TRAQ) or having the pre-requisites to attain this qualification

-hold BC Danger Tree Risk Assessor or having the pre-requisites to attain this qualification

-have a Degree or Diploma in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, or a related field

-hold a Trades Qualification – Utility Arborist, Arborist Technician, Climbing Arborist, Landscape Horticulturist, or related trades qualification

 

CTS will provide training in the collection of tree and forest data, preparation of reports and all related duties.
