Forest and Vegetation Field Technician

Location: North Vancouver or Squamish, BC

Job Description:

Applicants should expect primarily field-based duties and will be involved in Coastal and Interior vegetation maintenance activities. Successful candidates will join our team of ABCFP / APEG accredited and Arborist staff. Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• Utility Right Of Way Vegetation Layout, Patrolling, and Inspections
• Vegetation clearing package preparation
• Data collection using ArcGIS Field Maps
• Clearly communicating with landowners and contractors

Qualifications:

• Minimum one-year field experience
• Registered or eligible for registration with the ABCFP as a RFT, TFT or FIT, or Certified Arborist would be an asset
• Experience with ArcGIS Collector or Field Maps would be an asset
• Travel within the Province is a requirement (up to 10 days at a time)
