Associate Director of Outreach Arboriculture

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Salary:

The Associate Director of Outreach Arboriculture is responsible for providing technical assistance and education services in arboriculture, urban forestry, horticulture and land management to organizations, institutions, municipalities and their partners within the state and region.  Meets or exceeds annual benchmarks for education and earned revenue outcomes.  Frequently works in collaboration with other specialists in landscape architecture, architecture, land planning, land management and engineering.  May supervise others as assigned on a project basis.  Provides/coordinates delivery of professional and popular classes and workshops in arboricultural theory and practice.  Publishes professional and popular arboriculture articles/social media.  Reports to the Associate Director of Urban Forestry.  Position continuation contingent on funding through earned revenue.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required and 3 years to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years professional arboricultural experience is required. Demonstrated project team performance and commitment to stewardship.  Demonstrated proficiency in PC software such as CAD, GIS and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power point). ISA certification required, Board Certified Master Arborist certification desired.  Demonstrated excellence in written verbal communication, technology transfer, customer service and business skills.  Supervisory and consulting experience desired. Must have valid driver’s license and use their own vehicle for consulting and other assignments (will be reimbursed for travel expenses).
