Forestry Supervisor

Location: Aurora, CO
Salary: $62,000 to $72,000 Depending on experience

The city of Aurora is currently recruiting to fill a supervisor position. The supervisor manages a team of 14 arborists, arborist apprentices, and small tree maintenance people. The department provides in-house tree maintenance services for street trees, which include trimming, removal, stump grinding, tree planting, tree inventory management, and disease and pest monitoring. You will also manage a small tree nursery, fleet, contractor services, and the shop inventory. The ideal candidate has a broad range of experience in tree care, has experience managing multiple teams, managing multiple projects, and is customer service oriented. This is a working supervisor position so they also have to be adept at the skills of a climbing arborist. The expectation is that 50% of your time will be spent out in the field and 50% doing administrative tasks.

Requrements

-At least one year of experience as a supervisor

-ISA Certified Arborist

-CDL Class B license within 6 months of hire.
