Groundman
Location: Denver, CO
Salary: $15/hour - $25/hour
Job Description
- Provides rope support for climbing arborist
- Maneuvers suspended logs down to the ground
- Cuts and processes logs on site
- Hauls and loads all logs and brush into truck / chipper
- Unloads all logs and brush at recycling facilities
- Processes and delivers larger logs into unsplit firewood as needed
- Operates chipper in compliance with safety regulations and best industry practices
- Operates as part of crew and responsible for ground operations and cleanup
- Completes annual education and training requirements
- Completes Griffin Tree Company New Hire Orientation Program upon hire
Qualifications
- Great communication and listening skills
- Good attitude and able to take direction well
- Experience working in team-based environment
- Self-motivated and willing to work in various weather conditions
- Eagerness to learn and grow within our company (potentially become climber/crew lead)
- Bilingual a plus (English & Spanish)
- Groundman experience a plus
- Experience using ropes from the ground a plus
