Responsibilities:

• Field observation, inspection and review of job site locations on a weekly basis
• Inspection of contractor crews for OSHA and safety compliance, work unit accuracy reporting, accounting accuracy, or other compliance issues
• Ensure compliance, enforcement and training
• Report various safety related reports daily to utility
• Investigate and review reportable incidents in the area to determine training needed
• Report all activities to utility operations management, which would include training events, severe incidents, and analytical information from audits
• Travel to natural disaster areas to oversee storm restoration operations may be required Requirements:

Requirements:

• Degree in Forestry or related field and/or related work experience in utility line clearance
• ISA Certified Arborist preferred
• Minimum of 30 hours of OSHA training (within 90 days)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional attitude and neat appearance
• Good understanding of electrical utility hardware and the ability to interpret associated electrical line/circuit maps
• Self-motivated and efficient
• Some overnight travel may be required
• Demonstrated ability to capably work safely in the field under adverse conditions which include and are not limited to terrain, weather and seasonal changes.
