Z133-2026 Safety and Health Requirements standard is now available

With the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)’s approval, ISA is proud to announce that the new Z133-2026 Safety and Health Requirements standard is now available as of May 27, 2026.

The American National Standard: Safety and Health Requirements for Arboricultural Operations (commonly referred to as the Z133 standard) is a United States safety standard for use across the arboriculture industry.

The 2026 revision provides the most current criteria in the United States for arborists and other workers engaged in arboricultural operations, and it details requirements for a variety of tree care-related areas.

The Z133-2026 standard is available in both English and Spanish, with print and digital options through the ISA Store. For individual use, the digital version is available as a free downloadable PDF. Support from the ISA Canopy Partner organizations and funding generated through corporate licensing of the Z133 standard have enabled ISA to ensure this critical standard is available to practitioners at no cost.

Print copies are also available for purchase through ISA and other authorized resellers. Companies and organizations that wish to print their own copies for training purposes or digital employee use may inquire about a licensing option through ISA at [email protected].
