Voting Rights Now Granted to Student and Associate Members

ISA members help shape the future of our organization and the professions of arboriculture and urban forestry. That is why ISA is excited to announce that the ISA Board of Directors approved the motion to grant student and associate ISA members the right to participate in the election of Board of Directors. This means that ISA associate members and ISA student members will now have voting rights.

One of the most important tasks requested of ISA members is electing qualified individuals to serve on the ISA Board of Directors. The ISA Board of Directors is an elected board of 15 directors, including thirteen (13) directors and a president/chair of the board, and a president/chair-elect.

With members in over 73 countries, ISA encourages all members to vote in our elections as we continue to grow and support our global network. This year's general election will open next month, so stay tuned for a future announcement on how members can participate in the election process.

This is an important change that ensures all ISA members have an equal voice in the future of this professional society.
