Tour des Trees 2026 Registration Officially Opens

The ride of the year is back: registration for the 2026 Tour des Trees is now open. The tour will take place from 12-18 September, covering about 330 miles over five days through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Riders will have the opportunity to travel from Greenville, South Carolina, to Asheville, North Carolina, and view breathtaking sites along the way.

The Tour des Trees is an annual, long-distance cycling tour that serves as the signature public outreach and community engagement event of the Tree Research and Education Endowment (TREE) Fund. The tour highlights TREE Fund’s mission of identifying and funding programs that support the discovery and dissemination of new knowledge in arboriculture and urban forestry.

Riders can choose between one-day and multiday ride options. Each rider will also have an individual fundraising page to support the TREE Fund, and riders will act as a TREE Fund ambassador to share the importance of trees.

In addition to the live 2026 Tour des Trees ride, there will also be a Virtual Tour des Trees event for supporters who want to participate from anywhere, at any time.
