The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is pleased to announce that Sacramento Tree Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to urban forestry efforts in Sacramento, California, U.S., will support the ISA through its Canopy Partners program.
The ISA Canopy Partners program is a powerful, global initiative that unites industry leaders. Through this program, Canopy Partners supports the ISA's mission to promote the professional practice of arboriculture, inform the public about the benefits of trees and foster a network of arborists, urban foresters and tree enthusiasts worldwide.
“We are thrilled to introduce our new ISA Silver Canopy Partner—Sacramento Tree Foundation," ISA CEO and Executive Director Caitlyn Pollihan said. “Their decision to invest in the outreach work that ISA does and align with our mission is commendable. Their support will enable ISA to continue promoting the profession and educating the public about the invaluable benefits of trees and the dedicated individuals who care for them."
Since 1982, the Sacramento Tree Foundation has fulfilled its mission by planting and caring for more than 1.5 million trees in the region. The organization continues to steward greater canopy coverage in many neighborhoods to promote urban forestry within its communities, recognizing the health, ecological, social and economic benefits of trees. Through its work with urban canopies, the Sacramento Tree Foundation is investing in its communities through this vital public infrastructure.
“The Sacramento Tree Foundation is proud to be a supporter of the International Society of Arboriculture,” Sacramento Tree Foundation CEO and Executive Director Jessica Sanders, PhD, said. “Partnering with an organization that serves as a global network to promote the importance of arboriculture and urban forestry, not only to other professionals but to the general public, is critical to the Sacramento Tree Foundation. ISA is pivotal in promoting and ensuring best practices in tree care globally with local roots.”
Through the Canopy Partners program, ISA is committed to providing arborists with the necessary tools, services and research to serve and educate the public, advance the profession and promote the tree care industry worldwide.
Additionally, this program plays a crucial role in addressing critical environmental issues, educating the public, decision-makers and policymakers, and helping to spread valuable education and research while ensuring ISA stays at the forefront of industry trends, innovation and technology.
