In April 2023, Persatuan Arborist Malaysia (PArM) officially became an ISA Chapter. Formerly an Associate Organization, PArM’s rich history in arboriculture makes it a great fit within the ISA Component Network. The 2024 Asian Pacific Tree Climbing Competition (APTCC) will take place from 25 to 28 April 2024 in Kuantan, Malaysia.

The (APTCC) provides a competitive but educational opportunity for working arborists in the Asia Pacific region to demonstrate and exchange new climbing techniques and equipment and safe work practices. The APTCC also increases the interaction between various firms, ISA Chapters, Associate Organizations, and members and provides positive public exposure for the profession in that region. ISA manages the event with the assistance of the Asia Pacific Tree Climbing Championship Operations Committee and has had great support from members of PArM.
