ITCC And LATCC Updates

Congratulations to Steph Dryfhout, of the New Zealand Arboriculture Association, and James Kilpatrick, of the ISA Germany Chapter, on winning the 2025 International Tree Climbing Championship (ITCC).

The 2025 ITCC took place at Hagley Park in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 17-19 October. ITCC brought together 92 climbers across the globe. This event wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the 150 volunteers and our ITCC sponsors, Global TCC Partner Husqvarna.

Now, ISA is preparing for its first regional event of the 2026 Tree Climbing Championship series with the 2025 Latin America Tree Climbing Championship (LATCC) in Mexico City, Mexico, from 5-6 December.

“We are absolutely thrilled at the arrival of the LATCC to Mexico City,” Chapter executive for Asociación Mexicana de Arboricultura Diana Marchal said. “This event, promoted by ISA, represents a unique opportunity to bring the greatest talents and leaders in our region together: sharing ideas, inspiring new alliances and celebrating the passion that drives our industry. All of this, within an extraordinary location: the emblematic Bosque de Chapultepec (Chapultepec Forest). The energy and warmth of Mexico will turn this edition of the LATCC into a truly unforgettable experience. We welcome you with arms wide open.”
