ISA offers a variety of educational materials and products to help arborists improve their arboricultural knowledge and experience. Every month, we will feature a product or group of products. In January, ISA is featuring the TreesAreGood® (TAG) Consumer Brochures.
The TAG Consumer Brochures, revised in 2021, provide individual tree owners with basic knowledge of proper tree care. These educational brochures promote greater awareness of the benefits trees provide to communities and the importance of quality care for tree health.
The TAG brochures also make it easier for arborists to break down complex tree care topics, procedures, and techniques in a highly digestible format. They can be easily distributed to individual clients or during events—making it a cost-effective way to build brand identity, trust, and credibility with tree owners.
The TAG brochures cover 19 topics, including:
- Why Hire an Arborist?
- The Benefits of Trees
- New Tree Planting
- Storm-Related Tree Damage
- Tree Values and more
These brochures can better equip consumers to recognize the value of trees and make informed decisions when hiring tree care providers. They are a great tool for professionals who want to educate the community about the importance of trees, the necessity for proper tree care, and the role today's arborists play in tree care service and education.
The TreesAreGood® Consumer Brochures are available on the ISA website as a print product and digitally at https://www.treesaregood.org/treeowner. The printed brochures are also available individually per topic or as a package.
