ISA offers a variety of educational materials and products to help arborists expand their professional knowledge and experience. Every month, we will feature a product or group of products. In May, ISA will feature TreesAreGood® (TAG) Consumer Brochures.
The TAG Consumer Brochures, revised in 2021, provide individual tree owners with basic knowledge of proper tree care. These educational brochures promote greater awareness of the benefits trees provide to communities and the importance of quality care for tree health.
Brochures are effective marketing tools because they are easy to distribute, build brand identity, are cost-effective, and provide detailed information. The TAG Brochures can help build trust and credibility while also making it easier for arborists to break down complex tree care topics, procedures, and techniques in a highly digestible format for tree owners and consumers.
The TAG Brochures cover 19 topics including:
- Why Hire an Arborist?
- The Benefits of Trees
- New tree Planting
- Storm-Related Tree Damage
- Tree Values and more
The brochures equip consumers with the ability to recognize the value of trees and provide the information necessary for consumers to make informed decisions when hiring tree care providers.
They are a great tool for professionals who want to educate the community about the importance of trees, the necessity for proper tree care, and the role today's arborists play in tree care service and education.
The TreesAreGood® Consumer Brochures are available on the ISA website and Spanish and Swedish versions of the updated brochures are available digitally at www.treesaregood.org.
