We're less than a month away from the ISA 2024 Annual International Conference, which will be held from 12 to 14 August in Atlanta, Georgia, US. Join ISA and the Georgia Arborist Association (GAA) for the world's premier arboricultural event and the ISA's 100th anniversary.

Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to celebrate this momentous occasion in ISA history. Throughout this seminar, arborists will be provided guidelines for objectively evaluating all forms of information.

Restatement of Torts §929: A Legal Perspective on Tree Losses

How have courts approached the problem of measuring the value of a loss when a tree is damaged or destroyed? One of the many sources of authority in measuring damages to real property is the American Law Institute's "Restatement of the Law." This talk will review the framework of §929: the measurement of harm generally, the “personal reasons” exception, and the “reasonableness” cap on damages.
