Be Prepared for Workplace Accidents with the new Z133 Online Course

ISA offers a variety of educational materials to help arborists improve their arboricultural knowledge. Each week we will feature a product, or group of products that will enhance your arboriculture education. This week, ISA is featuring the new Z133 Online Course.
The Z133 Online Course is an introductory course which describes the history of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Z133 Safety Requirements for Arboriculture Operations, and gives key information about the most common incidents in arboriculture operations which cause worker injuries and fatalities.
Through a variety of text, photos, and interactive learning exercises, the online course describes the main practices that lead to incidents and the Z133 safety requirements which, if correctly followed, can reduce the likelihood of incidents.
The course consists of seven modules that include, electrical contact, arborist essentials and fundamentals, falls from aerial lift devices and more. Additionally, ISA credential holders can earn one CEU by completing the course.
Z133 Safety Standards are accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) The ISA acts as the Secretariat for the ANSI Z133 and these US-based safety standards are crafted through a collaborative effort of industry experts and representatives.
