Kendall Vegetation Services is one of the newest members of the ISA Canopy Partner program, having joined in 2025. This long-established company specializes in utility vegetation management services, including right-of-way clearing, storm restoration and industry-wide education.
The ISA Canopy Partners program is a collaborative initiative with industry leaders to better promote the professional practice of arboriculture, inform the public about the benefits of trees and provide a global network of arborists, urban foresters and people who care for trees.
Tom Warburton, Vice President of Marketing & Communications with Kendall, said the ISA Canopy Partners program closely aligns with the company’s values.
“Being an ISA Canopy Partner is a natural extension of our organizational identity,” Warburton said. “Our work is rooted in responsible vegetation management, safety, environmental stewardship and continuous professional development. We believe that supporting organizations such as ISA strengthens the entire industry and reinforces our commitment to best practices, workforce development and long-term sustainability.”
Warburton said ISA’s mission to advance arboriculture through research and education aligns with Kendall’s focus on operational excellence and safety. Kendall works to build knowledgeable teams to ensure utilities and infrastructure operate safely while supporting sustainable environments. Moreover, involvement in the broader arboriculture industry is beneficial for knowledge sharing, collaboration on evolving challenges and shaping the industry’s future.
“The industry continues to face shifting environmental conditions, workforce development needs, regulatory expectations and growing demands for reliability and resiliency,” Warburton said. “Active involvement helps ensure we continue to do the work that benefits customers, communities and the industry as a whole.”
Additionally, Kendall is dedicated to many outreach initiatives focused on education, safety and community engagement. Warburton said these efforts include supporting industry conferences, participating in training programs, offering ISA certification sponsorships, promoting career pathways in utility vegetation management, enhancing safety awareness and fostering environmental stewardship in our communities.
This outreach also involves being active community members through participating in local events and organizations, engaging in industry education initiatives, assisting with storm response and restoration and maintaining open communication with customers and stakeholders.
“Strong community relationships build trust, transparency and long-term partnerships,” Warburton said. “Engaging with local communities helps us better understand the unique needs of the areas we serve. It also demonstrates that our work goes beyond infrastructure maintenance; it directly supports the people, businesses and essential services communities rely on every day.”
