Arborist Representative
Location: San Francisco, CA
Salary: 70K-130K depending on experience and performance

The Urban Arborist is a growing, high-standard tree care company serving residential, commercial, and municipal clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We specialize in thoughtful, technically sound arboriculture—balancing tree health, safety, aesthetics, and long-term stewardship.
We are actively expanding into larger, more complex projects and are looking for a skilled Arborist Representative who can help us elevate both our client experience and project execution.
The Role
This is a client-facing, field-based position combining arboricultural expertise, consulting, sales, and project coordination.
You’ll meet with clients on-site, assess trees and landscapes, develop recommendations, and translate that into clear, compelling proposals. You’ll also work closely with our field crews to ensure projects are executed to a high standard and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site consultations for residential and commercial clients

Diagnose tree health, structural issues, and risk factors

Develop pruning, removal, planting, and plant health care recommendations

Prepare clear, accurate proposals and scopes of work

Communicate professionally with clients from first contact through project completion

Coordinate with crew foremen and field teams to ensure proper execution of work

Provide quality control oversight and confirm projects are completed to company standards

Follow up with clients post-completion to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns

Build long-term client relationships and generate repeat business

Identify and pursue larger-scale or higher-value project opportunities
Qualifications

ISA Certified Arborist (required or strongly preferred)

3+ years experience in arboriculture (field + client-facing preferred)

Strong tree identification and diagnostic skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Sales experience or aptitude (consultative, not pushy)

Organized and self-directed

Ability to coordinate multiple projects and communicate effectively with crews

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Compensation
-
Compensation $70,000–$130,000+ (depending on experience and performance)

Commission model; compensation is structured to reward both production and successful project outcomes.
