Student Actitivies Committee
ISA Staff Support
Membership Coordinator, Danielle Deck, will serve as the
staff liaison to SAC. Ms. Easton will provide a focal point for student issues and
will facilitate the activities of the Committee. Contact Danielle at

An action plan and budget will be developed that provides support
for student programming, including coordination, development, and production of
student events and activities. Also under consideration is the production and
distribution of a regular newsletter, the development of a student Web site and
the submission of a regular Arborist News Magazine column all designed to keep
students and advisors informed about ISA issues and activities. A series of
communication links is also planned that will facilitate interaction between
student organizations and provide a means of receiving input from students.
SAC is recommending that the funding of student activities be
included as part of the annual ISA budget. Funding sources under consideration
include a portion of ISA student memberships, green industry sponsorships, and
the ISA general fund. The Chair of SAC will attend ISA annual budget planning
session to share SAC plans and funding requests for each fiscal year.
