The New Edition of the Arborists’ Certification Study Guide is Now Available

ISA offers a variety of educational materials and products to help arborists improve their arboricultural knowledge and experience. Every month we will feature a product or group of products. This month ISA is featuring the Arborists’ Certification Study Guide, Fourth Edition by Sharon J. Lilly, Corinne G. Bassett, James Komen, and Lindsey Purcell.

The fourth edition of Arborists’ Certification Study Guide is a must have and provides a strong foundation and reference for all tree care professionals. Available in both print and digital formats, this publication is a complete and up-to-date resource that is designed to help people study for the ISA Certified Arborist® exam.

The new edition has been updated to be consistent with every Best Management Practices revision since February 2021. Additionally, the pruning, risk assessment, climbing, and urban forestry chapters have been significantly enhanced.

Each chapter has been revised and updated and includes learning objectives, key terms, sample test questions, a workbook section, and challenge questions. To further help arborists prepare for the exam, each chapter contains additional recommended resources.

This publication is fully illustrated in color with more than 440 illustrations, including approximately 200 new pictures to this edition. The book also includes a comprehensive glossary of arboricultural terms.

This greatly expanded fourth edition of the Arborists’ Certification Study Guide is an essential text for professionals in the field of arboriculture. It provides arborists with the information to adequately navigate the complexities of the field as well as furthering your understanding of the breadth of subject matter necessary in the specialty.
