Get Involved With ISA Committees - Volunteer Today

The ISA relies on a variety of volunteer committees to support its mission. Each committee serves a specific ISA interest that assists the organization as a whole. Committees are led by volunteers within the ISA membership, but may also include non-members with expertise important to the function of a particular committee. Five ISA operational committees currently have vacant positions:

Awards Committee:
Supports solicitation of nominations and recommendation to the Board for award finalists; about a 10-hour time commitment over several dates from December to May.

Conference Program Committee:
Supports development of the educational programming for the ISA annual conferences; about an 18-hour time commitment total, with several meetings scheduled from December to March.

Educational Products and Services Committee:
Supports development of educational programs and products; about a 6-hour time commitment total, with meetings twice per year.

Science and Research Committee:
Fosters exchange among the research community and professionals and identifies important new opportunities for science and research; about 15-hour time commitment, with two-hour meetings every other month and additional subcommittee work.

Tree Climbing Championship Committee (TCC):

Sets-up and helps facilitate the various tree climbing competitions safely and efficiently while following the rules, regulations, and scoring procedures.

Applications are being accepted until December 21, 2022.
