This is training work developing knowledge and skills in park management. Assignments are limited but of increasing scope and difficulty as an incumbent receives formal training and on the job experience in such park operations as administration, horticulture, arboriculture, grounds maintenance, natural land restoration, and recreation. As experience is attained an incumbent becomes eligible for promotion to the next level of park manager. Work is performed under the supervision of an administrative superior.
