Certified Arborist

Location: Leduc, Alberta Canada
Salary: $69,347.20 - $86,694.40 per annum

Certified Arborist to work in the municipality of Leduc Alberta, Canada.

As an Arborist with the City of Leduc, you’ll support the health and growth of our urban forest through hands-on, year-round work. Your key responsibilities will include:
•
Operating specialized tree care equipment (e.g., aerial lift truck, chainsaws, stump grinder, skid steer)
•
Performing tree pruning, removals, and maintenance in accordance with ISA standards
•
Conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and mitigating risks (e.g., cabling, bolting, removals)
•
Diagnosing and treating plant diseases or insect infestations using appropriate tools and treatments
•
Training and guiding assigned staff in arboriculture techniques and safety protocols
•
Completing paperwork related to OH&S, equipment inspections, and daily work logs
•
Liaising with developers, contractors, and the public on tree care, planting standards, and maintenance best practices
•
Assisting with the planning, planting, and establishment of new trees
•
Supporting special projects such as Tree Canada grants or local tree-planting events
