Salary: $70,606.00 - $113,675.00

Urban Forester / Urban Forestry Foreman (Full-Time) - Town of Vienna, VA:  

The Town of Vienna is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Urban Forester to lead tree care and landscape management efforts in our vibrant, green community. Located just 15 miles west of Washington, DC, Vienna has been a proud participant of Tree City USA for over 24 years.

 

As a key member of our Urban Forestry and Horticulture team, you’ll work closely with the Town Arborist and Superintendent to oversee tree inspections, planting, general tree maintenance, and landscape improvement projects across parks, public spaces, stream corridors, and town right of ways. This field-based role involves supervising staff and contractors, managing plant procurement, responding to emergencies, and supporting volunteer and community engagement events.

 

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience) in forestry, horticulture, or a related field, along with at least five years of relevant professional experience. A valid driver’s license is required, as is holding an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certification and being ISA Tree Risk Assessment qualified.  

This is a full-time position that includes occasional evening and weekend work for special events and emergency response duties.
